Anyone want to meet up saturday afternoon? I'm going to try to find an old car hood tomorrow to pull with the king quad. There's some good hills for more conventional sled riding. I'm thinking meet up in the afternoon sometime out here, play in the snow for a while, then fire up the grill. I have some wheeling trails out here, nothing worth trailering to though. Anyone have an old hood they care to donate? If not I'll run down to u-pull it and find one there. Probably find a dented up one cheap. This is a kid friendly event, complete with goats and a horse. Will depend on the amount of snow recieved, Hopefully we get at least 4 inches or so.

Haha last time I was sledding on a car hood our pony was pulling us around and Nelson ended up with about 14 stiches in his leg... haha i loved it!

I'm probably going to make beer can chicken on the grill, tastes good and it's easy to make. I need to know how many people are coming though so I know how much food to get.

Our pony wasn't really broke to well.... one well placed snow ball to its ass from little brother (me) and a few trees later at full stride ended up with big brother(nelson) a few stitches I gotta work Saturday till ? and i need to work in the garage one of these weeks. If its not to late when I'm done work ill give you a call to see whats up sat afternoon. Does your cell phone work out there in the sticks where u live? lol

Just got home with the sled. It's off of a 68 caddy, it's huge. I was driving home from weirton and saw a guy loading up a pile of scrap into his truck so i stopped, he was just getting ready to load the hood up.

Mikey, that sounds good only if I can bring my Jerk seasoning, but your going to have to keep an eye on the goats………… Mummmmm, Jerk Goat with Black Bean & Rice and a side of Fried Plantains just like City Beach in Jamaica, but with snow mon …………..  Us urbanites’ we used an old Coke sign (borrowed) the one that looked like a bottle cap and was 8’-0” across, or a mid-fifties Pontiac hood through Roads End Junk Yard behind a junked frame with just a motor, steering wheel and a seat wired on, with tire chains on the rear wheels, those lose broken links use to hurt when they hit you……….

me and a buddy of mine , when we were younger, used an old coke sign for a boat. We had an old Neptune 1 hp motor and putted up and down the river in toronto.. That is a huge hood..I wish I could join ya mike but I will be busy with some plowing an picking employees up..

tubs hold up pretty well,, we just duct tape the shit out of it where we tie the rope on. a ski tube that as a bottom in it works best. My buddy has a 40 acre hay field we pull the tubes in... when you get whipped into the outside of a turn a 45 -50 mph you know your having fun. Im too old for that shit now thou lol

Well we ended up with 2 people out here, me and zak. Managed to get everything buried in the snow, most of it on flat ground. The winch on the jeep got a workout getting the sammi out. We never even tried the hood, I don't think the king quad would have moved it anyways. Zak has some pictures he's going to post up later. I only have goat pics.

He was kind of jumping to move, couldn't really walk. The little one was having a hard time, it was up to his head. I didn't get any wheeling pics, when you were moving youcouldn't really stop. Zak got a few pics, he'll probably put them up later.
